EcoPorts and GreenPort link up for 2008 Conference
Amsterdam, 27-28 February, 2008
The port industry’s two leading environmental conferences – GreenPort and EcoPorts – next year will be brought together into a single event. The joint conference will take place at the Mövenpick Hotel, Amsterdam, on 27-28 February 2008. See for final conference programme & presentations here.
The EcoPorts conference has established itself as the principle meeting of the European Port Community, covering the practical operations of sustainable port management connected with implementing the environmental laws in practice - in ports and the logistic chain – with a wide range of issues discussed through a series of practical working groups and break-out sessions.
Since it was launched in 2006, GreenPort has focused on environmental policy, legislation and regulations – providing port planners with detailed information about the impact of future legislation on port development and expansion.
By combining the two events, the organisers - EWP Communications and the EcoPorts Foundation - are aiming to provide a single Conference and meeting-place, offering delegates a wide range of information about port policy and practical port operations relevant for ports and the port community.
More information, on the programme and registration will soon be available here.
