An important activity for EPF is the development and implementation of tools to collect and transfer practical know how between Port Communities, with particular focus on proven solutions for environmental issues.

EPF offers the EcoPorts portfolio of products and services to support Port Communities. These have been developed within European co-operation projects initiated by the Foundation. The portfolio comprises the EcoPorts Website and the EcoPorts Toolkit. 

The EcoPorts Toolkit
The Toolkit is represented in the diagram below and comprises 4 key elements:

• Tool 1 - Self Diagnosis Method
• Tool 2 - Ports Assist Ports through Co-operation
• Tool 3 – Environmental Performance Indicators
• Tool 4 - The Port Environmental Review System

EPF aims to maintain the ongoing relevance of the Toolkit and the Network through feedback from the Port Community. Therefore Training & Coaching as well as the EPF International Conferences and Workshops are an important forum for this.
