ESPO congratulates Société d'Exploitation des Ports du Détroit - Port de Calais (France) for achieving PERS certification

20 Dec 2016

ESPO is delighted to congratulate the Société d'Exploitation des Ports du Détroit - Port de Calais for achieving PERS certification. The Société d'Exploitation des Ports du Détroit - Port de Calais, which joined the EcoPorts network in March 2011, is achieving PERS certification for the third time. ESPO congratulates the port company on its commitment and achievement.
PERS (Port Environmental Review System) is the only port-sector specific environmental management standard. It is the flagship product of the EcoPorts network and is offered as part of the ESPO services to its members through the EcoPorts website (www.ecoports.com). Compliance with the PERS standard is independently assessed by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance and the certificate has a validity of 2 years. There are 29 ports in Europe and its neighbouring countries currently certified by PERS. ESPO encourages all ports within its membership to join the EcoPorts network and apply for PERS certification.
