Updated SDM Checklist now online

01 Jul 2020

Dear EcoPorts members,

We are very happy to inform you that the updated Self-Diagnosis Method (SDM) questions have been uploaded to the EcoPorts system. The updated SDM checklist contains a number of changes that improve upon the existing questionnaire that was previously used for SDM certification.

As you know, the SDM is a checklist that allows you to identify and reflect on environmental risks in your port. Aggregated and anonymised data provided by EcoPorts members are used to build and update the sector’s benchmark of performance in environmental management. A completed SDM is valid for a period of 2 years.

We welcome and encourage EcoPorts members to re-submit their SDM checklist if the SDM has expired, and hope that the updated SDM questions will generate even greater insights and added value for EcoPorts members in the future.

Best regards,
Valter
